Weekend Preview: UBA Southeast is Back!

Sure it’s only December, and sure there’s a long way to go, but the UBA will FINALLY have some sort of action going on this weekend. So let’s talk about that and talk about other things to look at this weekend:

1. World Championship Series Southeast Title Match: James Kniffen will be defending the title against Josh Pittman. And if you wanted to reopen the season with a match, this is going to be a great one. Pittman, who just lost his first title shot against Dre Gaither, will be looking to grab his first title ever. Kniffen, with his new team (Sub Zero) wants a new poster with his new team on it. There will be a new poster coming up – but who will be on it?

2. Southeast Team Rankings Tournament: Over 30 teams will be showing up at High Point this weekend to grab the start of the Rankings Battle. GOAT has always had a stranglehold on this event – will they continue their reign or will there be a team that shocks the process?

3. Toy Drive Tournaments: Larue Marlow has one in the north (Lodi Lanes, this weekend) and other UBA teams have one in the South. If you can donate a toy, please do so. If you need a toy donated to you, please let people know so they can help you make this holiday season a little brighter. And of course, you have the traditional King of the Hill’s, etc. if you have the need to compete – just stay safe,

4. Bowling on TV: FOX once again has bowling this weekend – check out the PBA Tour on FOX if you want to watch the matches live.

5. Stay Home: The corona virus numbers are still ugly and will go up thanks to the holidays. If you aren’t bowling (or don’t want to risk your health and be in a bowling alley) and really don’t need to go out, don’t. We want you healthy in 2021.
