Breaking Down Season Brawl #2

Gordon Pepper breaks down Season Brawl #2

If you’ve seen the first one, then we’re going to have fun on this one. If you haven’t seen the first one, then welcome aboard! Here’s what we do: I’m going to take each team and rank them as follows:

FAVORITES: One of the teams I think will win the whole thing
LEGITIMATE THREAT: Not one of the front-runners, but if they win it wouldn’t be a surprise
CONTENDERS: They could stick around for a while, but certain unexpected things need to swing their way for them to win
DARK HORSE: They COULD win, but A LOT of things need to swing their way – like a herd of charging buffalo goring half of the field

Keep in mind that while I’m pretty good, the team that won the whole thing was in the Dark Horse section (Royal Flush) so anyone has a chance to win.

So let’s start:

FAVORITES
AUGUSTA REIGN: The Reign were cruising, and I mean, CRUISING in their division until they were surpassed by The M.O.B. at the end, but that still makes them a favorite to grab this one.

G-TOWN HEAVY HITTERS: What more can you say about them? They are deadly on both scratch and handicap. I’m going against the grain here and putting them in the favorite section and attributing last year’s middle of the pack finish to injury and a plain old fluke.

LEGITIMATE THREAT
B.U.F.U.: Leonard Freeman got time to restock and reload. That alone makes them dangerous.

DIRTY SOUTH LEGENDS: They were 6 points behind the Reign in a respectable finish. This would be a good time to make a statement against the rest of the teams in the Southeast.

SPARTANBURG SAVAGES: They also finished in the top half of the Deep South. This team will go as far as Daphne Smith will lead them, and as she is the current Vixen’s Champion, it could be pretty far.

CONTENDERS
BELTLINE BODY SNATCHERS: Like Royal Flush, they have not had a good record this past season. Can they stun the world this weekend just like Royal Flush did?

DARK HORSE

COMPLETE ANARCHY: If I don’t know anything about you and you’re a new team, you need to prove yourself. This team does have a bunch of quality bowlers so I’m guessing they won’t be here in the future, but for now, this is where I’m putting them.

SOUTHERN STYLE MAFIA:
You see what I wrote about Complete Anarchy? The same applies here. Wash, Rinse, Repeat.
