Metro North Tour Stop 4 Predictions

Was the last Tour Stop an anomoaly – or the new norm?

METRO NORTH 2023-2024 SEASON TOUR STOP 4 PREDICTIONS

Wow. Last stop did not go the way I thought it would. Upsets, underdogs, protests, wardrobe malfunctions, appeals… this one had it all. And man was I wrong. A lot. But such is the game of bowling. Anything really can happen on any given day. Enough of that, though – let’s see if I can get back on track and reacquire my future-predicting skills. Here are the matchups for this upcoming weekend:

Da Royalty (9th | 52-68) vs The Tribe (5th | 64-56)

Congrats on that win, Tribe. You finally started looking like yourselves in your match at stop number three. Now can you keep that momentum going, or will Da Royalty bounce back from stumbling in their last outing?

Prediction: Tribe, but it will probably be close. I still think these two teams might be fighting it out at the end of the season for a playoff spot.

Class aXe (10th | 45-75) vs Devilz Rejects (t.7th | 53-67)

Apparently we’re living in the bad timeline. One where Class aXe can’t win a match, and where Devilz Rejects are either holding their own against their competition, or winning outright. Honestly? I love to see it. And I will maintain my stance that underdogs are the scariest thing on the planet.

Prediction: Class aXe wins… because I’m taking the underdog in this one.

Royalty On Da Lanes (3rd | 82-38) vs Area 51-8 (t.7th | 53-67)

You guys already know how I am going to call this one. But the fact remains that my Aliens are off to a slow start, and the team we’re bowling is ranked much higher than we are. I have total faith in my squad, but we need to bring it because Royalty On Da Lanes is proving that they are a force to be reckoned with.

Prediction: Area 51-8. Always Area 51-8. From now until the end of time.

Secret Invasion (4th | 66-54) vs City Morgue (1st | 97-23)

This is the match to pay attention to this week. So, does Morgue keep their hot streak going, or does Secret Invasion finally knock them down a peg? They’re perfectly capable of doing it. For my part, as long as the match stays on the lanes and doesn’t require the rulebook to be whipped out, I’ll be a happy Gabrius.

Prediction: I think Morgue extends their run one more stop this weekend. We’re back at Cortlandt and they absolutely mashed it in the season opener there.

Team Beloved (12th | 28-92) vs Controlled Chaos (6th | 60-60)

Team Beloved, you almost had it a few weeks back. But one of your guys forgot to pack his jersey and instead of taking that blind, you did something that netted you a zero for three games. It cost you.

Prediction: While I might think that Controlled Chaos is the better team, I predict that Team Beloved will be coming in extremely hot this Saturday, with one gigantic chip on their shoulder. I think they grind out a hard fought, and (more importantly) legitimate win in this one.

Apocalypse (2nd | 86-34) vs BOA (11th | 34-86)

Apocalypse is one of the few teams in the Metro North that hasn’t surprised me this season so far. With that in mind, I think I will actually call this one by-the-numbers. Two teams – one within striking distance from the top, and the other just a few points above the bottom. Sorry, BOA, but you guys are absolutely the underdogs in your match this weekend.

Prediction: Apocalypse wins. But I would love to see BOA dring it this weekend.

I’m just gonna come out and say it – last stop was an anomaly. Sometimes the universe decides to be wacky, and unlike bowling I have zero ability to predict when it’s gonna happen. That’s my story, and I am sticking to it. As always, if you don’t like what I had to say, hit me up… or better yet, let your bowling prove me wrong instead!
