Top 50 Motivational Rankings for 3/5/22-3/11/22

How much movement will Megabowl cause?

More notes before we start:

  1. Style points count. You’ll see that down the list.
  2. Just a reminder, I’m a ‘What have you done for me lately’ guy, so a team that did great last year but is bowling like dishwater now is not going to be on this list.
  3. If you’re not in a play-off spot in your district. You’re not making the list.
  4. While #1 is Tour Stop Play, Team Rankings / WCS / Tournament Results DO count here, because if they do well and a team uses these people in a UBA Tour Stop, then there’s no reason why not to think they will be just as good at a tour stop as they are in a tournament, etc.
  5. Keep in mind that with over 200 teams competing this season, this list represents less than the top 25% of the UBA. If you’re on here, consider that some kudos.
  6. This is for fun. Don’t get salty, get motivated.
  7. I love all feedback, so keep it coming 🙂

So here we go with this week’s rankings….

CURRENT PLAY NOTE: Match Play from March 4-11, and Pertinent Team Ranking Results.

  1. Hitmen (234-46 / 1st) (Was 1)
Still undefeated in Tour Stop play, and that’s the #1 qualifier on this list. HOWEVER, they did lose to Synergy in Team Rankings, so that opens the door to…
  2. Spartanberg Savages (195-85 / 1st) (Was 3)
I was told by Kasey Parnell that I neglected to mention that the Savages won the Stay in your Lane event with a 1330 series Turner Pike. As I do not want to be the brunt of her next video, I must put this here. And I will add that Bob Benton not winning the World Title (should that happen) will move them up to first. For now. Of course, if Kasey loses to Mia Williams, then I’ll do the same thing to the Savages (I’m equal opportunity)
  3. Outrage (250-70 / 1st) (Was 2)
They are waiting for the Hitmen or Savages to falter, which so far hasn’t happened yet. Maybe a good showing at MegaBowl? Or a bad showing from them Southeast?
  4. High Octane (226-54 / 1st) (Was 4)
They are up by 56 over second place in their division
  5. AC Express (233-87 / 1st) (Was 7)
Who wants to see Mia Williams vs Kasey Parnell? (Raises hand)
  6. DC Mafia (221-56 / 1st) (Was 9)
Silently carving up the opposition like a Christmas Turkey
  7. Da Garden Foundation (202-118 / 2nd) (Was 5)
Slides down because 1. They are still in second (albeit by 1 point) and 2. They only won 22-18, and though it was a good win, it wasn’t as good as some of the other teams’ victories. Style points matter.
  8. G.O.A.T. (183-97 / 1st) (Was 8)
What can they do at MegaBowl?
  9. Reality Check (200-40 / 1st) (Was 10)
Can they make a statement this weekend?
  10. Lightz Out (236-84 / 1st) (Was 18)
Starting to separate themselves from the rest of the pack in the Brooklyn/Queens District.
  11. Royal Flush (196-84 / 2nd) (Was 15)
A bye week away from taking BC Crew’s top spot in the District and the Top 10 spot in the Top 50.
  12. All In! (189-91 / 1st) (Was 12)
Congratulations to Troy Gafgen for winning the Cruiserweight title in the Northeast.
  13. Impact (196-82 / 2nd) (Was 16)
That was better. Still need to do some work to take out Outrage.
  14. Class Axe (208-72 / 1st) (Was 11)
Bill Cron wants to have his team in the Top Ten, but Bill Cron’s team moves down because of what other teams do around him.
  15. The Arsenal (204-76 / 2nd) (Was 13)
Any Arsenal members taking a 7 hour trip to Virginia?
  16. Sub-Zero (146-94 / 3rd) (Was 14)
    Can Megabowl move them upward?
  17. BC Crew (224-136 / 1st) (Was 6)
Last 2 matches were a tie and a loss. That won’t keep you in the Top Ten.
  18. Conspiracy Theory (226-94 / 1st) (Was 25)
Good rebound on a win they really needed.
  19. Menace II Society (218-102 / 2nd) (Was 26)
    They followed suit.
  20. The Replacements (206-74 / 1st) (Was 17)
I’m going to let them hang out in this spot and think about what they did in February, which was not much.
  21. Latino All-Stars (192-88 / 3rd) (Was 21)
They don’t go for some of that money at Megabowl. I’m sure they have a good reason but I can’t see it.
  22. Powerhouse (201-79 / 2nd) (Was 22)
They can make a run and challenge The Replacements
  23. New World Order (164-116 / 2nd) (Was 28)
    Rebound possibility at Megabowl?
  24. Motion 2 Strike (196-84 / 2nd) (Was 29)
They get aided by the teams around them losing.
  25. Bulletproof (208-112 / 2nd) (Was 32)
That was a nice win that added some credibility. Can they keep putting out that effort moving forward?
  26. Rollin’ Rebels (170-110 / 2nd) (Was 31)
They have some Megabowl work to do.
  27. Silver Lanes Express (236-124 / 1st) (Was 46)
I still don’t know what the NE South is capable of, but I do know that SLE taking 40 and moving into 1st means that given the right conditions, they can do a lot of damage.
  28. NJ Drillers (191-129 / 3rd) (Was 36)
Last month I’m wondering how they are in 4th in their district. The win helped them…but I’m still wondering how they are only in third in their district?
  29. Identity Crisis (168-112 / 1st) (Was 48)
Back in first in the topsy-turvy New England North.
  30. Murder Inc. (203-117 / 1st) (Was 23)
Everyone was pointing to them losing first to DGF in April. They almost lost it in March.
  31. Silent Killerz (196-94 / 2nd) (Was 24)
How do you only take 10 points from the Blind?
  32. The Militia (198-122 / 3rd) (Was 26)
You see the other 2 QC teams up a lot higher for taking care of their business? The Militia didn’t take care of theirs.
  33. New England Heat (232-88 / 2nd) (Was 30)
I traditionally don’t doink teams too badly for losing first place because of byes, and with SLE having to take theirs, the Heat are in the position to grab first right back.
  34. Absolute Chaos (164-116 / 3rd) (Was 34)
No chaos on a slow week.
  35. Philly Horsemen (178-102 / 3rd) (was 35)
    The horses are grazing
  36. Do it Yourself (174-146 / 3rd) (NEW)
If DIY makes it to the playoffs in that district, they should get at least a nomination for most improved team of the year.
  37. Auburn Maulers (167-113 / 2nd) (Was 33)
Well that first place was short-lived, wasn’t it?
  38. Usual Suspects (186-94 / 2nd) (Was 37)
Nice match against Showtime. But still a loss. They can’t keep taking much more of those.
  39. Rival Alliance (196-124 / 1st) (NEW)
Rival Alliance gets to come back on the chart. So why are they listed behind Usual Suspects? Ah, that pesky bye thing, that they have to take and the Usual Suspects have already taken.
  40. Tribe Called Nest (158-82 / 1st) (Was 41)
Tribe is sleeping in their nests
  41. Apocalypse (126-74 / 3rd) (Was 39)
    Waiting for the Megabowl-opolis?
  42. Str8 Bizness Cartel (168-112 / 3rd) (Was 40)
They are starting to run out of that equity that they had at the beginning of the season.
  43. #Violators (175-105 / 2nd) (Was 42)
They will move up with a good showing this weekend.
  44. Legacy (182-98 / 4th) (NEW)
To start with a Zero in Tour Stop #1 and now have a 28 point lead in the final playoff spot is impressive.
  45. Voodoo (184-136 / 2nd) (Was 45)
Casting ‘let’s hope everyone crashes and burns while we take the bye’ spells.
  46. Showtime (168-112 / 3rd) (NEW)
Sure they have some work to do, but a big win over the Usual Suspects gets them here.
  47. King’s Court (190-130 / 4th) (NEW)
Is the Queen City district the most competitive division in the Southeast?
  48. Synergy (161-119 / 3rd) (NEW)
They knocked off The Hitmen(??!!?) In Team Rankings, and their schedule gets a lot easier after Megabowl. Prepare to see a run from them.
  49. Team Matrix (196-124 / 3rd) (Was 42)
Once Megabowl is done, the Team will be more focused. Right? Right.
  50. MOP Nation Militia (148-132 / 3rd) (NEW)
I like Joey Nereu, which is the only reason why they are still on the list despite coming out flat as a pancake this past weekend.
  51. Killerz Grip (184-96 / 5th) (Was 28)
Just a reminder that you don’t get ranked in the Top 50 if you’re not in the Top 4 in your district. I know KG will get back in, but they stay here as a reminder.

NEXT 5 IN: Villains, Watchmen, Wrecking Crew, Long Island Legends, BUFU
OUT: (For now) Killerz Grip, Hot Pockets, Dead Flush, Pocket Kingz, Apex Predators, Bounty Hunters
