Schenectady gets their first taste of the UBA.

UBA Members:
The newest UBA franchise Area 51-8 based out of Schenectady, NY will be hosting a singles handicap event at Sportsman Bowl on Saturday Dec 4th 2021. This event is open to ALL bowlers, especially UBA members. This event is more geared towards non UBA members seeking to gain as much interest in the UBA as possible in hopes of having more UBA Franchises form in the Capital NY area. AREA 51-8 of the UBA PRESENTS: THE ALIEN SWARM SINGLES
A SINGLES HDCP EVENT OPEN TO ALL BOWLERS- ** ALL INFO SUBJECT TO CHANGE OR BE EDITED **
Date: Saturday December 4th 2021
Time: Noon check-in / 1pm start time
Location: Sportsman Bowl – 1652 Crane St. Schenectady, NY 12303
Entry fee: $60 ($50 for UBA members with their jerseys on). CASH ONLY AT CHECK-IN
Format – Bowl 4 games on the same pair. The top 4 opening round qualifiers will receive an automatic bye into the final 8 person bracket round, seeded 1-4. After the top 4 are removed, the field is cut 1/4. Bowlers who make the cut, will bowl 2 more games, with Round 1 pins carrying over into round 2. The top 4 total scores from Round 2 are seeded 5-8 which will form the final 8 person bracket where the matchups will be 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, & 4v5.. Final round is a single game match play bracket where all bowlers start at 0.
Handicap is 70% of 250.
Averages: Highest winter league book average from the past 3 seasons (18-19, 19-20, 20-21) 21 game minimum.
There will be brackets, high game, high series, eliminator, winner-take-all and mystery score side action – both scratch and handicap.
BONUS INCENTIVES
All current official UBA members will be entered into a ball raffle
Top NON UBA member will win a free Area 51-8 UBA team jersey & a spot on the team.
1st place $600 based on 50 entries @ $60 per. Payout ratio 1:6
Tournament officials reserve all rights. Event will be USBC Certified
