2025 Central Conference Bracket Predictions

Will SBC repeat as champs?

We go from the Elite Eight to the Terrific Twelve this season as Battle Bowl has been expanded. Hence, we’ll be getting more first time matches. Gordon Pepper will break down the Central Conference.

For those of you who liked my Top 50’s – thank you. For those of you who hated them…well…you may not enjoy yourself any more here, but let’s break down the bracket.

Last Year
Posts-Season
District Records
DMV North: 4-3
DMV South: 10-5 (WINNER)
DMV Central: 2-4
Virginia: 2-3

In the world of William Shakespeare, heavy is the head that wears the crown. If you remember, Str8 Bizness Cartel was a #10 seed and Mutiny was a #13 seed when they won their way to Delaware. Now they are much higher seeds this time around and they need to fend against the teams that they knocked off last season. Can they do it?

Hardest Quadrant: #2 (Right)
The upset-minded teams this year around are in the same Quadrant – SBC is now 3rd and Mutiny is now 7th, where ironically they will be playing a Contract Killaz squad that eliminated Outrage last year. Oh by the way, Outrage will be awaiting the winner of that match should Outrage gets past Infamous.

SBC won’t be facing any of them early, but they could be facing Virginia Champions Fearless should they get past the DMV Titans. So this bracket quadrant isn’t doing any favors for anybody.

Wide Open Quadrant: #1 (Left)
With all of the tradition on the right hand side of the bracket, that does leave an ‘open path’ for Impact to once again get to Battle Bowl. But if I say that, then that overlooks DC Mafia (who has almost gotten there a few times), Apex Predators (featuring Vixen’s Powerhouse and champion La’Monique Berrios), perennial contenders The Risen, and a bunch of new teams, including the Washington Replacements (which when they win, they win huge) and The Lion’s Den (Team Welbon). And has we seen many times in the UBA playoffs, when chalk is supposed to reign, sometimes it meets the business end of an eraser.

Sleeper Team: The Washington Replacements know how to put their foot on the gas – and you need that element to win games in the playoffs. They could cause some havoc on the lower left hand corner.

Hot Take: 3 out of the 4 Top Seeds make it to the third round.
