The Heat is Sweltering

New England continues to dominate the NE South

Here are the results after Tour Stop #7 in the New England South Division

New England Heat: 34, The Darkside: 6
People start to wonder how the New England Heat is continuing to win. Part of it is because of good
scores – like Michael Levya-Rios 724 and 4 series of 680+ from 4 other teammates. The other half is looking at the fact that the Darkside only had one person that shot over a 650 and everyone else shooting a combined 469 pins under average (including being smoked by over 300 on the scratch side). They drop to 10th while the Heat remain unbeaten in Tour Stop Play.

The Fallout: 26, Public Enemy: 14
Like the Heat, the Fallout destroy PE on the scratch side (by 309, to be exact), led by Chris Burke’s 785 series. David Malaro shoots a 731 for PE, but they lose the wood by 123 and fall to 6th because of it. PE, who only has had a 22-18 loss this year against an otherwise unblemished record, remain in second.

The Commission: 26, The Fury: 14
The Commission squeeze this one out by 2 little baby pins for the wood. This despite not having a 700 shot by The Commission. The Fury get 7’s from William Clark (737) and Tony Sanchez (703)…and a combined 363 pins under average from everyone else. They fall to 9th while the Commission remain in third.

Silver Lanes Express: 28, Pound 4 Pound: 12
The Express bombard P4P with 7’s. 4 of them come from Tiawan Shepherd Jr (749), Cassaundra Collins (723), Mark Paradis (707) and Mike Berens (702) as they remain in 4th. P4P’s Vince Marulli goes for a 727 but they fail to break into the Top 4 because 1 < 4.

Op3n B0wl3r2: 36, Ice Nation: 4
No one breaks a 7 for Ice and they pay for that heavily. Michael Coonan (739) and Christopher Pelkey (707) do hit for the OB as they move up to 7th. Ice stay in 12th as they get blasted by 220 pins.

Hounds Of War: 30, Sheer Vengeance: 10
The Hounds get a win that they desperately needed. Jason Sherman’s 703 leads the Hounds up to 8th and within shouting distance of the playoffs. Chris Lew’s 724 is not snough for SV as they are still looking for their first win of the season.
