DMV North

Impact, Outrage even up with 28 each.

No movement is good movement?

Here are the results from Tour Stop #6 in the DMV North

Outrage: 28, Vipers 12
Andre Welbon thought – and thought correctly – that Outrage would take out their loss on the Vipers. Brian Bennett (716), Rich Jerome Jr (713) and Jason Howard (709) do just that en route to a 296 pin win. They remain in first while the Vipers slide to 8th.

Impact: 28, The Expendables: 12
Impact keeps up in almost lock-stop form. Granted they only had one 700 (Dominick Snyder’s 729) but they win by 280. Chris Nash shoots a 729 for The Expendables, but they fall to 9th due to their scratch pair being blown out by almost 300 pins.

Hot Pockets: 22, Mutiny: 18
Hot Pockets escape with a win via the 117 pin victory. They remain in third (while Mutiny drops to 7th) but they fall 6 points off the lead and as of now, cannot mathematically claim first on Outrage’s bye.

Apex Predators: 32, Killer Keglers: 8
The Keglers had a major chance of pulling off the upset here, but their scratch team shoots a combined 178 pins under average as they lose the wood by 122. Ronald Douglas’ 723 bails out the Predators as they slide into 4th while the Keglers are the only team in the district that hasn’t won a match yet.

Charm City Chaos: 22, Kryptonite: 18
This one’s weird. Kryptonite wins the scratch trios by 283 pins BUT CCC’s handicap squad, led by Eddie Lee’s 757, wins the handicap trios by 388 pins and takes the wood by 17. Kryptonite as quickly as they entered the Top 4, now leaves the Top 4. The now 10th CCC has to wonder how good they would be if they entered eaxch tour stop with a full team.

Da Stoners: 22, NWO Wolfpack: 18
The Wolfpack had a chance to move into a playoff spot but they also get stunned during this Tour Stop. Da Stoners, despite them remaining in 12th, are 50-30 for their past 2 matches. 8 pins separated the Wolfpack from 4th (which is where they would have been) to 6th (which is where they are now).
