New England Heat Stay Hot

Right now, it’s a mad race for second.

NEW ENGLAND HEAT: 30, Op3n B0wl3r2: 10
People poo-pooed the Heat when they got a high record to start the Motivational Charts. Maybe they should pay attention. And they are doing it with the handicap bowlers; Kory LoPresto (760) and Nick Dalterio (748) lead the handicap squad to win by a combined 427 pins. Yipes. Aaron Wilder’s 740 and Michael Coonan’s 717 lead the OB’s scratch pair, but they got no help from their handicap squad and fall to 9th. The 30 points for the heat, BTW, ties that for the LOWEST amount of points they have picked up in a tour stop. Yipes.

THE FALLOUT: 30, THE COMMISSION: 10
Michelle Giardina’s 748 leads the 1st handicap pair to a 211 pin win. That keys the Fallout’s victory. No 7’s for The Commission, who fall(out) flat and watch the Fallout leapfrog them to third. Keep in Mind The Fallout have had their bye, so they still have a week in hand against everyone.

POUND 4 POUND: 30, THE FURY: 10
Just like the OB, Joe DiPetto’s 799 (sooo close) keys the scratch to a 200 pin win. And just like the OB, everyone not named John Turgeon (300 / 716) shoot a combined 333 pins BELOW average, which allows them to get skunked in the handicap squads by a combined 365 pins. Richard Doty and Tom Fitzsimons shoot matching 708’s as P4P remain in the Top 4.

THE DARKSIDE: 28, SILVER LANES EXPRESS: 12
SLE blows a chance to move into second. Joseph Gaydos’ 712 leads The Darkside to the win and maybe a turning point to their season as they start a 2 match winning streak. Mike Berens 700 is the only thing that SLE shows up with as they fall to 18-62 for their last two weeks. Yuck.

PUBLIC ENEMY: 36, SHEER VENGEANCE: 4
Public Enemy is starting to enter their less competitive part of the season, and so far, they are 68-12 in it. Gary Kurensky Jr (783), Kevin Tyson Jr (758) and Mike Merritt (719) lead the PE to a 360 pin victory. Scott Marino’s 724 leads Sheer Vengeance, but they are denied their first win of the season due to too much Publie Enemy.

HOUNDS OF WAR: 30, TORNADO ALLEY: 10
The Hounds just have not been consistent this season, but they get on the right side of the coin on this match-up. Ashley Moran (764) and George Bakshys (710) win the first 2 pairs by a combined 235 and do enough to hold off the last pair. The Alley fall shy of the win by 64 pins and fall to 28-92 for their past 3 weeks.
