GOAT wins, but….

Sub-Zero gets a trio of treys per trio.

Here are the results after Tour Stop #5 in the Triad District

GOAT: 22, Carolina Swag: 18
Goat gets the win and stays undefeated in tour play, but they survive a massive scare from C-SWAG. Max Fishman (780), Josh Pittman (774) and Mal WIlliams Jr (740) all hit numbers – and they needed all of it, as they only won the wood by 27. C-Swags’ Chris Carpenter (786), Buford Pace (742), Willie Shy (739), Ray Smith (739) and Ken McNeely Jr (727) give GOAT all it can handle but can’t pull off the victory. They remain in 7th, but as they have had their bye and none of the top 5 teams have had theirs, C-Swag promises to be a factor in taking one of those four playoff spots.

Sub-Zero: 28, The Pack: 12
Because GOAT only took 22 points, it allows the rest of the top teams to play a little catch-up. Sub-Zero obliges as they do something that may never have happened in the history of the UBA: One 300 per trio. James Kniffen (300/747) does it on scratch, Nicholas Icenhower (300/780) does it on handicap pair #1, and Ryan Ward (300/279/805) does it on handicap pair #2. And like GOAT, they may have needed all of the 300s, as they only win the wood by 37. Zach Ludwig (741) and Bradley Richardson (711) do all they can for the Pack, but too many 300’s result in them falling to 8th. A 56-24 run for the past 2 tour strops for Sub-Zero cut the deficit on GOAT to 13 points.

New World Order: 40, Taking Care of Business: 0
The past two matches were nail-biters. Not this one. JJ Morgan Jr (737) and Darren Williams (717) take full advantage of a TCB team that shoots 523 pins under average (Chris Bryant’s 757 not-withstanding). TCB, not taking care of the business of finding win #1, remain in last while NWO tie Sub-Zero for second.

Villains: 28, Sneaky Bandits: 12
The Villains are 54-26 for their past 2 tour stops. Jacob Shipley, off of his Cruiserweight title win, goes for a 706 as they cut their trail on first to 23 points. The Sneaky Bandits get smooshed on the scratch trios by 180, which keeps them in 10th with a 24-96 record for the past 3 tour stops.

Gate City Warriors: 32, High Point Hot Shots: 8
Tim Dillon shows up with a 752 for HPHS. Everyone else on the team? A combined 432 pins under average as their 2 Tour stop win streak ends brutally. Darrell King (754) and Jared Wright (714) lead the Warriors to the win and the top half of the standings sheet.
