Sssshhhhhhh. It’s a Conspiracy

Based on the scores, this tour stop was brutal.

Here are the results from the Queen City district after Tour Stop 5

Conspiracy Theory: 34, Boondoggle: 6
If at the beginning of the season you would have said Conspiracy Theory would be the last team that would be undefeated in tour stop play in the Queen City district, we’d say you were insane. Yet, that’s what we have now, because Gunnar White goes 708 for the theory. Scott Hall hits for a 299 and a 711 for Boondoggle, but they lose the overall wood by 240 and fall to 7th (with an 18-62 record for the past 2 tour stops in the process).

Menace II Society: 28, G-Town Heavy Hitters: 12
Garrett Moore’s 705 and a 56-24 record for the past 2 tour stops put MIIS back in second place and only 22 away from the front-runners. G-Town shoots 470 pins under average as they drop to 8th – which is not where you expect G-Town to be at this point. Sure, there’s plenty of time to turn this around, but what’s going on with G-Town?

Natural Disaster: 30, The Militia: 10
What’s going on with Natural Disaster is that they are quietly sneaking up the standings. Mason Perkins (740) and Josh Pressley (701) give ND the wood by 155 and a 88-32 record over the past 3 tour stops get them into a playoff position. Anyone that wasn’t Jonathan Ware (750) for the Militia was a natural disaster: a combined 642 pins under average (that’s a person’s series, folks) plop them to third.

King’s Court: 32, Carolina Rollers: 8
After a 6-74 start (WHAAAAAAAAT!?!?!!??), the Court seems to have gotten them themselves back to normal as they are 94-26 over the past 3 tour stops. The Rollers shooting 570 pins under average does help as Kings Court gets back to .500 while Carolina remains in 11th.

Southern Style Mafia: 36, The MOB: 4
What’s going on with these scores? I’m not going to bother with the stats, but here’s all you need to know; only two people hit a 6 or better for The MOB as they fall to 10th with a current 22-98 skid after a 58-22 start. The Mafia move into a 5th placed tie with King’s Court.

QC Havoc: 28, Venom: 12
QC Havoc shot 415 pins under average. And won. By 121 pins. And somehow, Venom only got 12 points. I’ll let you marinate on that for a moment.

As you can tell with this tour stop, not everyone bowled to their potential. They must have had the Mummy or The Mop oil pattern out there. Or something….
