Squuuuad up.
That’s what Mike Wakefield Jr. is going to be saying as he wins the Welterweight Championship from Ralph Harris in a nailbiting 7 games. Wakefield takes a 2-0 lead in the match, winning 247-158 and 225-191.
Harris, however, would turn the match around, taking the next 3 games 226-164, 232-189, and, culminating when Wakefield Jr missed the 6 pin to win the game, 192-191.
Most people, when they lost a game that way, will let it affect them in Game 6, and maybe even give up the match. Instead, it seemed to motivate Wakefield, as he forces a 7th game by the score of 204-159 and takes the final game in the match 217-184.
With the win, Wakefield will be going into October as the champion. He’s going to see if he can continu getting treats and not get tricked.
