Northeast World Championship Series Predictions: October 2022

Gordon Pepper predicts the North WCS matches for October

I am a stand-up sort of guy. I own my successes as well as my failures. So when I went 1-5 last month, I consider that a giant failburger. This is not close to my 80% from last year, so I shall look to redeem myself here.

Saturday, October 29 at Lodi Lanes after Tour Stop

Heavyweight Title Match:
Aaron Williams (CHAMP – Pocket Kingz) vs. Idris Edmond (Murder Inc.)
Murder Inc. has been winning a lot of things – Team Rankings, UBA Title, etc. – and they have had WCS wins – Cruiserweight, Tag Team (5 Times), etc – but there’s one thing they have never won – The World Championship Series Heavyweight title (when Quentin Collins had it, he was part of BC Crew, not Murder Inc.). If Idris Edmond doesn’t blow up mentally, they will add another piece of hardware. It’s at Lodi, so advantage, Edmond.
PREDICTION: Edmond wins 4-1 and becomes the new champion.

Sunday, October 16 at Nutmeg Bowl after Tour Stop
Vixens Title Match:
Hermie Hannibal (CHAMP – Silent Killerz) vs. Missy Collins (Silver Lane Express)
The last time those two got together, Hannibal won in a seven game thriller. Will Collins learn from her unforced errors and get the win now? Lane conditions dictate she will.
PREDICTION: Collins wins 4-3 and becomes the new champion.

Sunday, October 30 at Strathmore Lanes at 1pm
Cruiserweight Title Match:
Malachi Moore (CHAMP – Mass Destruction) Vs. Raul Renteria (Dysfunctional Bowlers)
Ironically, Renteria stinks at Lodi, where he loses most of his title matches. If you notice in the description though, this isn’t Lodi. Renteria is going to start collecting belts that he used to have.
PREDICTION: Renteria wins 4-2 and regains the Cruiserweight title.

Sunday, October 24th at Carmel Lanes at 3:00 pm
Welterweight Title Match:
Sergio (Gio) Sencion Jr. (Champ – Tribe Called Nest) Vs. Julio Hernandez (Tribe Called Nest)
Tribe Called Nest is winning this one. Ha ha ha ha ha. Ok, seriously – Hernandez has a lot of fire in him this time around – for various reasons – and while this should go the distance, experience is going to win on this one. If they stream this, this is a must-see.
PREDICTION: Hernandez wins 4-3 and becomes the new champion.

Date Unknown, Time Unknown, Location Unknown
Classic Tag Team Title Match:

Secret Society (CHAMPS – Leon L. Stone/Samantha York) vs. Latino All-Stars (Marc Texidor/Miguel Carrion)
The Champs have held onto the belt for quite awhile. This is going to be their toughest challenge yet, because the All-Stars have won the belt a few times themselves. The Society needed a disaster from DHS to retain the belts – and got one. The All-Stars are known to give out gifts like that as well, but on paper, a change of titles could be coming.
PREDICTION: Latino All-Stars win 4-2 and becomes the new champions.

Uncapped Tag Team Title Match:
Mass Destruction (CHAMPS – Tyler Wilson/Matt Grayauskie) vs. DC Mafia (Michael McClane/Neal Miskell)
MD is on their quest to go to their third straight North Vs. South match. They can take their second step to get there should they get past the DC Mafia. While the Mafic will have the home lane advantage, Mass Destruction has had the experience of doing what they need to do in enemy territory. Expect the same here.
PREDICTION: Mass Destruction wins 4-2 and retains

So before you get all pissy with me if I went against you, just remember – I went 1-5 last month, so maybe that’s a good thing if I picked against you?
