Top 50 Motivational Rankings for 2/12/22-3/4/22

Yep. Them again.

More notes before we start:

  1. Style points count. You’ll see that down the list.
  2. Just a reminder, I’m a ‘What have you done for me lately’ guy, so a team that did great last year but is bowling like dishwater now is not going to be on this list.
  3. If you’re not in a play-off spot in your district. You’re not making the list.
  4. While #1 is Tour Stop Play, Team Rankings / WCS / Tournament Results DO count here, because if they do well and a team uses these people in a UBA Tour Stop, then there’s no reason why not to think they will be just as good at a tour stop as they are in a tournament, etc.
  5. Keep in mind that with over 200 teams competing this season, this list represents less than the top 25% of the UBA. If you’re on here, consider that some kudos.
  6. This is for fun. Don’t get salty, get motivated.
  7. I love all feedback, so keep it coming 🙂

So here we go with this week’s rankings….

CURRENT PLAY NOTE: Match Play from February 12-27, WCS Southeast and Team Ranking Results are included in this update.

  1. Hitmen (234-46 / 1st) (Was 1)
The WORST that they have done this season is winning 30-10. Think about that.
  2. Outrage (212-68 / 1st) (Was 3)
Winning 38-2 combined with Impacts’ brain fart means that even when they take their bye, they will still be in first.
  3. Spartanberg Savages (195-85 / 1st) (Was 6)
One of the few top teams that made it out of February with 2 wins. And Kasey Parnell’s videos still own you.
  4. High Octane (226-54 / 1st) (Was 8)
Going 70-10 in February, including a win over second place at that time, gets you into the Top 5.
  5. Da Garden Foundation (180-100 / 2nd) (Was 9)
Their record of 120-40 for the past 4 tour stops gets them within 15 of Murder Inc and can take them outright in April. In the words of Little Mix, Uhhh ohhhhhhh….
  6. BC Crew (194-86 / 1st) (Was 4)
They didn’t lose, but you can’t expect them to be rewarded when they go 20-20 against a sub-.500 team, can you? Of course not.
  7. AC Express (205-75 / 1st) (Was 12)
Rebounded nicely in their last tour stop and Northeast Vixen’s Champion Mia WIlliams is getting some media shine.
  8. G.O.A.T. (183-97 / 1st) (Was 16)
Gets the ship back in working order.
  9. DC Mafia (191-49 / 1st) (Was 18)
They are in first place in the DMV south with a hefty lead AND they already took their bye. Don’t sleep on them.
  10. Reality Check (200-40 / 1st) (Was 19)
Averaging 33 points per tour stop and in first place with their bye already taken is the one team in the southeast that no one is talking about – though maybe they should.
  11. Class Axe (208-72 / 1st) (Was 23)
Only undefeated team left in the New Jersey Northeast
  12. All In! (189-91 / 1st) (Was 13)
Takes the bye, which means they did better than 40% of the Top 10. So you get rewarded for not losing. Yay!
  13. The Arsenal (204-76 / 2nd) (Was 5)
They took their first loss of the season, but it was to the second placed team and it was close, unlike other top teams that got shellacked, so they only fall a little bit.
  14. Sub-Zero (146-94 / 3rd) (Was 14)
Good win over New World Order and they took their bye while first and second still have to take theirs…buuuuut…they haven’t moved into second or first yet, so they stay put.
  15. Royal Flush (196-84 / 2nd) (Was 24)
134-26 over their last 4 Tour Stop and closed the gap to within 18 on BC Crew, which btw, hasn’t taken their bye yet.
  16. Impact (162-78 / 2nd) (Was 2)
SO you get tons of shine on beating Outrage and taking a piece of Unholy. Then you turn around and take a whopping 6 points against APEX. What in tarnation was that?
  17. The Replacements (206-74 / 1st) (Was 7)
Only taking 8 against Train Wreck wasn’t Ruff Ruff Ruff. That was rough rough rough. Woof.
  18. Lightz Out (198-82 / 1st) (Was 27)
Who thinks that Lightz Out likes the BQE better than Long Island? (Raises Hand) I would too if my team went 120-40 over the past 4 tour stops.
  19. Killerz Grip (184-96 / 3rd) (Was 28)
Don’t look now, but guess who just cracked the Top 20.
  20. Hot Pockets (160-80 / 3rd) (Was 33)
The name is silly but their play as of late has shown that they are serious. They’ve also taken their bye so watch out.
  21. Latino All-Stars (192-88 / 3rd) (Was 26)
Nice rebound over the last tour stop.
  22. Powerhouse (201-79 / 2nd) (NEW!)
Going 62-18 for the past 2 tour stops puts them in second in the district and back on the list.
  23. Murder Inc. (195-85 / 1st) (Was 10)
Yes, they are still in first. No, they won’t be if they lose to DGF again in April.
  24. Silent Killerz (186-64 / 2nd) (Was 39)
Got a big win that they really needed during that last tour stop.
  25. Conspiracy Theory (196-84 / 1st) (Was 11)
They took their first loss of the season, which made the Queen City Standings that much tighter.
  26. The Militia (186-94 / T2nd) (Was 30)
How much tighter? That much tighter
  27. Menace II Society (186-94 / T2nd) (Was 50)
    Don’t forget them also.
  28. New World Order (164-116 / 2nd) (Was 15)
Loses ground on GOAT by falling to Sub-Zero
  29. Motion 2 Strike (196-84 / 2nd) (Was 35)
Sure they get the nice win and all – but they haven’t taken their bye yet, so the second place marker is only temporary.
  30. New England Heat (232-88 / 1st) (Was 17)
Takes their first loss of the season and doesn’t look good doing it. Sure they are still in first, BUT their schedule gets a lot harder…
  31. Rollin’ Rebels (170-110 / 2nd) (Was 21)
They are in second, but they went 1-1 this month, and the loss was to Synergy. So they had a meh month. Meh.
  32. Bulletproof (180-100 / 2nd) (Was 47)
Jump back into second with the nice win
  33. Auburn Maulers (159-81 / 1st) (Was 45)
Anyone want to take control of first in the New England North District? No? Ok Maulers, it’s your turn to try.
  34. Absolute Chaos (164-116 / 3rd) (Was 46)
Quietly solidifying a spot in the NJ South
  35. Philly Horsemen (178-102 / 3rd) (was 40)
Needed that confidence-building win after the painful loss to All In!
  36. NJ Drillers (163-117 / 4th) (Was 20)
I won’t tell anyone about the mess you made in the last tour stop if you won’t. But yikes.
  37. Usual Suspects (172-68 / 1st) (Was 22)
I get that they are in first, and because they took their bye already, they will be in first for a while. But boy, did they look bad against the South Jersey Strike Force.
  38. Dead Flush (164-117 / 3rd) (NEW)
Can this team get their mojo back when they used to make this a DGF Vs. DF rivalry back in the old days?
  39. Apocalypse (126-74 / 3rd) (Was 49)
They are in third and unlike the 2 teams above them, have already taken their bye.
  40. Str8 Bizness Cartel (158-82 / 2nd) (Was 44)
They got a much-needed win and are moving in the correct direction, even if they are looking sluggish while doing it.
  41. Tribe Called Nest (158-82 / 1st) (Was 25)
It’s not just that they’ve lost for the past 2 tour stops and are in danger of losing first once they’ve taken their bye. It’s also that a bunch of their scratch line-up is leaving the club and even if they hold on to first, how much traction will they have once the playoffs start?
  42. #Violators (175-105 / 2nd) (Was 29)
They are 10-70 against the Hitmen this season. Including taking only 6 points against them at their last tour stop. OUCH.
  43. Pocket Kingz (144-136 / 4th) (Was 31)
How did Dead Flush get into the Top 50? By steamrolling the Pocket Kingz.
  44. Bounty Hunters (166-104 / 3rd) (Was 32)
It’s been a great story, but if they can’t pick up double-digit wins against good teams, it will have an unhappy ending. Like most of Shakespeare.
  45. Voodoo (184-136 / 2nd) (Was 36)
Seeing them lose a beautiful opportunity to move into first in the PA North reminded me of Super Password when Burt Convy accidentally gave away the puzzle and Jennilee Harrison announced to the world that Burt blew it. Yeah, that sort of blown it.
  46. Silver Lanes Express (196-124 / 2nd) (NEW)
I still have no idea how good the New England South district is. But SLE is in second and have gone 60-20 for the past 2 tour stops, so we’ll give them some love.
  47. MOP Nation Militia (138-102 / 2nd) (NEW)
Same with the New England North, but we’ll try this one more time. With feeling.
  48. Identity Crisis (136-104 / 3rd) (Was 43)
They took their bye, as expected. And they fell to third, as expected.
  49. APEX Predators (160-80 / 4th) (NEW)
The win over Impact gets you here – but how long can you stay at the party?
  50. Team Matrix (196-124 / 3rd) (Was 42)
The River Rats are knocking on the door to take third place in the district and your spot in the Top 50. And right now, you’re opening the door to let them in. Such nice houseguests.

NEXT 5 IN: Legacy, Showtime, Villains, Watchmen, King’s Court
OUT: (For now) Dream Team, Da Hit Squad, Long Island Legends, The Fallout, The Franchise
