Replacements stay in first; Matrix goes 7 heaven.

Other teams make their move though.

Here are the results from the NJ Shore District after Tour Stop #5.

Replacements: 28, Alter Ego: 12
The Replacements remain the only team not to take a loss in League Play. Anthony Buczynski Jr. goes for a 703, which is good enough for the win because The Alter Ego’s Alter Ego showed up in the form of a combined 485 pins under average as they fall to ninth. The 28 points from The Replacements keep them in first…

Powerhouse: 36, Goon Squad: 4
But because the top 3 teams chasing them had higher scores, they cut into the lead that The Replacements had. We start with Powerhouse, where Robert Geyer’s 734 and James O’Hanlon’s 715 lead them to second with a 69-11 record over the past 2 matches. The Goonies are still looking for their first win, which they won’t be getting if they continue to lose the wood by 479 pins.

We’ve Been Framed: 34, Strike City: 6
No one breaks a 660 for We’ve Been Framed. The score, however, is accurate, because everyone not named Michael J. Smith (711) shoots a grotesque 544 pins under average. WBV, 102-18 for the past 3 matches, move up to 3rd, while Strike City, which used to have a big lead, are out of the playoff picture thanks to a 13-67 record over the past 2 matches.

Team Matrix: 38, Ocean Wave: 2
We were wondering what happened to Team Matrix. Maybe watching Matrix: Revolution brought them to a brand new place. 7 Bowlers – Rob Sherman (792), Daniel Coppola (762), Bob Dail Jr (744), Jason Cassano (738), Tom Panebianco (737), Dave Sabin (722), and Douglas Herron (704) all shoot 7’s as Matrix wins the wood by 735. Matt Clark shoots a 714 for Ocean Wave but they get their own tsunami thrown at them as they surf down to 6th. Matrix moves back into 4th and a playoff position.

Tom’s River Rats: 36, About That Money: 4
Speaking of 7’s, Robbie Guzman (750), Jared Stuart (739), Emil Dudas (722), Jim Rogers (718) and Chris Boyd (701) ‘Only’ shoot 5 and ‘only’ win the wood by 589 pins. James Riley is the only person that gets a 7 for ATM (713) as they suffer a loss that removes thenm from the top half of the standings.

Train Wreck: 26, Chozen Generation: 14
Eric Nilson’s 756 is the difference in this match-up as the Wreck win the wood by a mere 33 pins. They move closer to the midpack while CG moves closer to the cellar.
