Reaper Crew Gets Flatlined during Murder Season; Suscreba shoots 300 for DGF

39-1. Ouch.

Here are the results from Tour Stop #5 in the Northwest NJ District

Murder Inc.: 39, Reaper Crew: 1
In the NJNW, if you don’t come to play, you get thwomped. The last-placed Reapers shoot a combined 482 pins under average, so let the thwomping begin. Kevin Menendez (733) and Nicholas Campanelli (714) bring the Thwomphammers for Murder Inc, who remain unblemished in Tour Stop Play and have opened up a 55 point lead on everyone else.

Da Garden Foundation: 30, X-It Woundz: 10
Once upon a time, Da Garden Foundation ruled the UBA. Then they had a few missteps, but they seemed to be finding their groove again. And unfortunately for X-It, Brent Tishuk (783), Jerrold Fredericks (779), Andrew Suscreba (300/773), Marcel Danley (764), and Jim Hosier (736) win their respective trios by a combined 457 pins. Chris Aponte shoots a 792 for X-It, and while Richard Clark 3rd (721), Brandon Burwell (712), Sharif Warden (702) and Duteche Aine (701) shoots 7’s for X-it, they fall to 8th because DGF’s 7’s were better. X-It is 30-90 for their past 3 matches, and while they are watching DGF (60-20 for their past 2) run away from them in second, they are in danger of seeing the last play-off spot run away from them as well.

Dead Flush: 24, Pocket Kingz: 16
Derek Beeh (715) and Michael Griffin (703) shoot nice series for PK on the handicap side. Too bad they weren’t on the scratch side, because their scratch trio gets dismantled by 320 pins. Pete Rivera’s 760 leads Dead Flush to get within 8 points of a playoff spot and within 12 of Pocket Kingz.

Top Gunz: 36, Amerrikaz Most Wanted: 4
Remember that ‘If you don’t come to play, you get thwomped’ line? Well, besides Michael Turner Jr’s 704, everyone else shoots a combined 366 pins under average as the now 9th AMW join the Reapers on the Thwompwagon. The Gunz get thwomphammer 7’s from Patrick Stegmeier (766), Nick Fiore (722) and John Drabczyk (712) as they reclaim 4th place.

Do It Yourself: 28, Da Takeova: 12
If you’re going for a playoff spot, you can’t afford to lose to a team that has no one break a 670 and who took a donut on the last Tour Stop. Yet that’s exactly what happens as DIY bounces back from last tour stop’s mess and wins the wood by 31, moving them up to 7th in the process. Da Takeover drops from 4th to 6th and if they don’t make the playoffs, they can look at this because this is a very bad loss.
