Northeast WCS Title Match Predictions

Gordon Pepper breaks all of the title matches down.

For the last time in 2021 I get to make predictions. Sob. But the record is still nice this year (25-7) and I want to finish this on a high note. So let’s celebrate 2021 with a little auld lang signs.

Harris won the title with the power or the Urethane. I don’t see Chris Aponte being phased by that or anything else. BTW, Aponte has won 2 other #1 Contenders matches, but due to injury and jersey issues, this will be the first time he tries to get the title on the lanes. He’ll get it.
PREDICTION: Chris Aponte wins 4-2 to grab the title.

There’s a number of must-see matches and this is one of them. Bollinger has won the title twice before but she has lost to Smalls in heads-up play. This is too close to call and I know my co-horts are going to say Tiffany wins, so I need to be a little bit contrarian. Coin flip time…
PREDICTION Bollinger wins in a 4-3 thriller to regain the title.

This is another ex-champion wants his belt back match and it should be good. The one x-factor is it’s in Garden City and Faison knows the shot. This could come back to haunt Andes.

PREDICTION: Chondite Faison wins 4-2 and regains the Cruiserweight Belt

This should be a fun little match, but I’m not sure that it goes too long. Wiltsey has shown his strengths and abilities to shut his opponent down, and Jay Keith may need some time to adjust. I don’t think Wiltsey is going to give him that time.
PREDICTION: Wiltsey wins 4-2 and retains the Welterweight title

The Body Bagz gets round 2 of the title run against the Reeces. Keep in mind that Naomi Reece has already won the belt before, and IMO, Bobby Reece is a better partner than the bowler that Naomi won the title with before (Sorry, Rob. Heh). Whoever figures out Garden City first will win the match and I will give that to the most experienced bowler in the bunch.
PREDICTION: Kryptonite wins 4-2 and takes the Classic Tag Team Titles

On Murder Inc’s side, you have a 5 time 5 time 5 time 5 time 5 time champion in the form of Chris Hedges. Juice has won the belts before, and he’s headlines Battle Bowl TWICE, so you know he’s game for it. The key is former heavyweight champion Nagelhout, and if he can relay the necessary info to former Cruiserweight champion Raul Renteria, then I give the champs the edge. Murder Inc will give them all they can handle and maybe this could be a post-season preview?
PREDICTION: Dysfunctional Bowlers win 4-3 and retain the titles

That’s all I got. We’ll see in a few days how good (or bad) I got it.
