I’m a Man of My Word

Challenge Made. Da Takeover Accepted

What does that mean? Read on…

MURDER INC: 32, TOP GUNZ: 8
Murder Inc, by their standard, will say they didn’t have a great set this time around. Sure, Derek Smith shot 300 to go with a 771 series and Chris Brigantino shot a 703, but no one else hit 7’s. But what makes them dangerous is that they know how to win the close games, and they won the wood by 129 pins. Brandon Cutrupi (728) and Nick Fiore (726 had their shot, but they wasted it because everyone else on the team shot a combined 348 pins under average. The loss drops the Gunz from 2nd to 6th (OUCH) while Murder Inc has yet to lose a match in the district this season.

POCKET KINGS: 40, DO IT YOURSELF: 0
THIS would be a BIG OUCH. Mark Colineri Jr (300 / 744) and Derek Beeh (726) lead the Kings as they bring the pain by a 539 pin thrashing. No on on DIY breaks a 650 as they plummet to 9th. the Kings, due to the huge win, serve donuts to DIY and second place to themselves.

DA GARDEN FOUNDATION: 30, X-IT WOUNDZ: 10
Al-Torre Hooper’s 748 and Robert Mockenhaupt’s 701 give DGF the wood and the win by 123. Chris Aponte leads X-IT with a 728, but he gets zero help in the form of everyone else shooting a combined 479 pins under average. DGF, after a sluggish starts, is now in third, while X-It Woundz is still sluggish. It’s early, but right now, X-It Woundz is in 7th, so if the play-offs started today, the team that came in second in the Brawl For All would not be seen again until September.

DA TAKEOVER: 24, DEAD FLUSH: 16
I promised Da Takeover that if they won their match, that they would be ranked 20th. It wasn’t pretty, but 7’s from Mike Potoski (769), Donald Heinemeyer Jr (738) and David Nash (719) give them the wood by 40, and hence, they will be happy when the next set of Motivation Ratings come out this weekend. Danny Palomino (743) and Pete Rivera (702) score for Dead Flush but they remain in 5th for lack of an extra 40 pins.

AMERRIKAZ MOST WANTED: 24, REAPER CREW: 16
Don’t look now, but AMW are now 54-26 for the past 2 weeks. Sean Williams (749) and Landis Crawford (729) lead AMW to the win. Bobby Sach leads everyone with a 779, but the Reapers lose the wood by 130 and remain in the basement. AMW is only 20 points out of a playoff spot and 32 points out of second.
