New Jersey Northeast

A tale of two 299’s

One of them helps their team. The other…doesn’t.

Here are the results from the Northeast New Jersey District after Tour Stop #4

The Arsenal: 30, Messenger Mafia: 10
The first 299 belongs to Nick Gavron as he (748) and Michael Pasch (740) lead the scratch team to a 199 pin win and the 109 wood victory. Joe Pagan (750), Mark Newman (719) and Kenneth Lee (707) all hit 7’s for the Mafia, but three game losses by less than 20 pins costs them the win,. The Arsenal remain in first place and remain one of three teams in the district that don’t have a tour stop loss.

Dysfunctional Bowlers: 34, Dream Team: 6
The other 299 belongs to Doug McFarlane Jr. But while he goes for a 793, the rest of his team shoot a combined 402 pins under average. Yuck. Chuck Trimblett (751), Shaun Dunning (738), Brian Creeley (736), Robert Linder Jr (733) and Matt Dunning (703) all dredge the Teamers with 7’s as they jump Dream Team into 4th. The Teamers take their first Tour Stop loss and fall to 6th.

Latino All-Stars: 34, Legion of Doom: 6
Robby Shine led all of the All-Stars with a 779 and the lowest series provided by the All-Stars was a 614. Jennifer Houseward led with LOD with a 712, and their teams HIGHEST series after that was a 671 and 4 bowlers who didn’t hit a 6. The result is what you can expect: the 385 pin beat-down drops the LOD to 10th and no wins on the Tour Stop circuit while the All-Stars remain in second with no losses on the Tour Stop Circuit.

Class Axe: 34, Misfits: 6
Jimmy O’Connor Jr (759) and Jaryl Scott (754) lead Class Axe to the 174 pin victory. Bryan Ramsey’s 704 makes it close for the Misfits, but they fall apart in game #3 and remai in last because of it. The still-third Class Axe are the third team here with no tour stop losses.

The Legacy: 22, Total Mayhem: 18
The difference in the match was 7 pins, and that went to The Legacy. Felix (720) and Eric (714) Perez (no relation) lead Total Mayhem, but they fall 7 pins shy. Eddie Penafiel’s 773 is juuuuust enough for the G=Legacy to move up to 5th, which is very impressive considering that they started the season with a 0 on their first tour stop,

Area 51-8: 38, Devil’s Rejectz: 2
It was only a matter of time for Area 51-8 to figure out the NJ lanes, and unfortunately for DR, they figured it out against them. Christopher Lee (715) and Matt Swiatocha (704) lead the scratch trios to a 279 pin win as they move up to 7th. The Rejectz hold steady in 11th as they are one of three district teams that still don’t have a Tour Stop win this season.
