Vargas shoots 742; Tribe overwhelm Royalty

Here’s Tour Stop #2 Results from the Bronx

You miss these? I miss these. I’m glad these are coming back.

TRIBE CALLED NEST: 36, ROYALTY ON THE LANES: 4
Alex Vargas (742), Greg Mintz Sr (716), Louis Torres III (707) and Lenny Tweed (707) all bring out the 7’s as the Tribe wins the wood by over 600 pins. OUCH. Royalty shoots a combined 345 pins UNDER average as they get blown out.

APOCALYPSE: 38, CITY MORGUE: 2
Speaking of blowouts, Victor Falcaro (740) and Matthew Felix (727) lead Apocalype to a 525 pin romp over the Morgue. Anyone not named Dwayne Adams Jr (719) for the Morgue was….well….lifeless, as they shoot a combined 360 pins under average. Cue zombie music.

SECRET INVASION: 38, HARLEM KNIGHTS: 2
The one lesson in this district to be learned here – if you don’t come to play, you will get stomped on. Harlem Knights, with their highest series being a 600 from Oree Sims (and everyone else shooting a combined 313 pins under average), clearly didn’t come to play. Hence, Nicholas Perrone (741) and Nicholas Poggiogalle (729) will administer the 467 pin stomping for the Invasion.

CONTROLLED CHAOS: 28, NY BOMBERS: 12
In the one competitive match of this Tour Stop, Louis Colon Jr’s 248 last game and 716 series allows the Chaos to come from behind and sneak out the Wood and the win by 11. Diane Allen led everyone on the Bombers with a 673, but no one on the Bombers was able to counter Colon, so they take the loss.
